About Us

Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

Having a large family of our own, we realise the importance of relaxing and reconnecting on  family holidays. These are special times in life where many happy memories are made and become treasured.

As your hosts, we seek to provide wonderful, family friendly accommodation and service to you, our guest.

The Olsson family moved from NSW to the property in the early 1970's. Originally, the family ran a dairy farm, then later transitioned into beef cattle, and fodder farming which continues with the next generation to this day.

Cottage Information

Eighteen Mile Cottage is a charming and tastefully decorated early 1920's Queenslander holiday home nestled alongside an invigorating river, flowing close from its source, the Lamington National Park.

Located in the gorgeous Lost World Valley, part of Scenic Rim Region, and only 90 minutes from Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

The cottage is fully fenced and situated centrally within a 500 (approx) acre beef cattle farm surrounded by captivating mountains and pretty countryside views.

Pets

Guests are welcome to bring a pet or two provided prior approval has been received, and pets do not enter the house. Use of the yard area and verandahs is fine, (except on chair cushions & covers).

The yard area is fully fenced at the Cottage, and partially fenced at the Homestead, so a run-lead may be useful to bring for dogs at the Homestead.

Supervision of dogs is required in the wider property as there are usually cattle located in the surrounding paddocks. Pet faeces need to be removed from the yard area prior to departure, placement in the surrounding paddocks is suitable.
